Turkmenistan is systematically implementing large-scale measures to modernize its healthcare system in line with international standards and expand cooperation with the world's leading medical centers and specialists. This was reported on October 31 during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers chaired by esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov via digital system.

During the government meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Mammedov submitted a detailed report on preparations for the 13th Turkmen-German Health Forum, scheduled for November this year.

According to the Vice Prime Minister, long-standing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Federal Republic of Germany in healthcare and the medical industry has shown high efficiency. In this context, numerous joint conferences and meetings were successfully held between the medical institutions of the two friendly nations from 2011 to 2026.

The upcoming 13th forum is planned to be held online at the International Education and Science Center of the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry. The conference will address key issues of modern medicine in crucial fields such as pediatrics, oncology, rheumatology, and neurosurgery. Professors from the Federal Ministry of Health of Germany and leading clinical networks, doctors from Turkmen hospitals, as well as faculty members and students of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan will participate in the exchange. The Vice Prime Minister submitted a proposal to the Head of State to ensure the forum is organized at a high level.

Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov listened to the report and emphasized the great importance of international cooperation—particularly knowledge exchange with the Federal Republic of Germany—in modernizing the national healthcare sector and guaranteeing high-quality medical services for the population. The Head of State fully approved the proposal to hold the 13th Turkmen-German Forum and gave the Vice Prime Minister specific instructions to execute the event at a high organizational level.
