Conference on the role of women in society held at the Turkmen Agricultural University

At the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan together with the university’s primary women’s organization held an educational and awareness-raising meeting entitled «Ornuňyz tördedir, sarpaňyz belent, ýaşaýşa ýarandyr mährem zenanlar!» (“Your place is honoured, your respect is high, you are the source of life, dear women!”). This was reported on the official website of the higher education institution.

During the meeting, female students were provided with detailed information about the achievements of the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful winged horses», as well as about national values, noble traditions, principles of upbringing, and the sanctity of the family.

The event was attended by experienced university lecturers, female students, and honoured guests. The speakers highlighted the important role of Turkmen women in society, the protection of their rights, and the wide opportunities created for their productive work, creativity, and improvement of living standards.

The meeting included discussions on the high respect shown by the Turkmen people towards women, the sanctity of the family hearth, and the special role of women in raising future generations. The educational significance of national proverbs and sayings such as «Gyz edebi — il edebi» (“A girl’s manners are the manners of the nation”), «Gyzly öý — gyzyldan halka» (“A house with a daughter is a golden ring”), «Gyzly öý — soltanly öý» (“A house with a daughter is a royal house”), «Gyzly öýe kyrk at baglanar» (“Forty horses are tied to a house with a daughter”), and «Gyzly öýe rehnet ýagar» (“Blessings descend upon a house with a daughter”) were explained.

It was also emphasized that Turkmen women occupy a worthy place among the outstanding personalities who have left their mark in history, and their courage and exemplary life paths serve as a model for the younger generation.

The participants of the meeting wished the Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who pay special attention to Turkmen women and create broad opportunities for the comprehensive development of youth, good health, longevity, and further success in their state activities.
