On October 19, 2026, a Business Forum was held in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan, within the framework of the C5+1 Ministerial Meeting. A representative of the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International Oil and Gas University also participated in the event. The forum’s programme was organised around six areas:

- Digital Technologies;

- Education and Healthcare;

- Critical Minerals and Extractive Resources;

- Energy and Transport Infrastructure;

- Agriculture and the Textile Industry;

- Finance and Investment.

These areas are particularly important for expanding the economic opportunities of Central Asian countries, adopting new technologies and strengthening international cooperation.

The sessions dedicated to education and healthcare focused on the development of human capital, the expansion of educational opportunities and the training of specialists equipped to meet modern requirements.

The growing demand for highly qualified professionals in today’s economy calls for closer cooperation between higher education institutions and industrial enterprises. Modernising educational programmes, advancing research activities and introducing cutting-edge technologies into the learning process enhance the competitiveness of specialists.

By training highly qualified professionals for the oil and gas and energy sectors, the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International Oil and Gas University also contributes to the development of these industries. Expanding international cooperation creates opportunities to learn from global experience and further improve the education system.

The forum session dedicated to energy and transport infrastructure addressed strategically important issues. Key priorities in the energy sector include improving production efficiency, making rational use of energy resources, introducing modern technologies and protecting the environment. The development of transport infrastructure facilitates access to international markets, expands trade relations and strengthens economic ties among the countries of the region.

Digitalisation and innovation also play a significant role in advancing these areas. The automation of production processes and the use of digital monitoring systems help conserve resources and improve operational efficiency. Under modern conditions, the balanced development of education, science, energy and innovative technologies is one of the key prerequisites for sustainable economic growth.

We express our profound gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for the extensive opportunities they provide for the development of science and education, the expansion of international cooperation and the comprehensive support of young people in our country. We wish Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar good health, long lives and continued success in their endeavours for the benefit of the people and the Motherland!
