Training seminars on Green energy and artificial intelligence was held

On 14–15 October 2026, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan successfully hosted two specialised training workshops dedicated to green energy and innovative technologies: “Integration of Renewable Energy Sources” and “Practical Applications of Artificial Intelligence”. These events were organised under the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan and Clausthal University of Technology in the Federal Republic of Germany, with support from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) project “EU for a green Turkmenistan: Policy Dialogue and Climate Action 2024–2029”.

The main objective of the workshops was to strengthen the capacities of specialists and students in the integration of renewable energy sources, geothermal energy, biomass, hydrogen technologies and the practical application of artificial intelligence systems. International experts and academic staff from Clausthal University of Technology in the Federal Republic of Germany participated in the workshops, sharing their expertise and experience with the institute’s young specialists, lecturers and students.

During the two-day training sessions, detailed explanations were provided on energy system modelling, electricity pricing and converter technologies. At the conclusion of the event, participants expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and to the Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the opportunities provided to develop science and education in the country and to promote the widespread adoption of innovative technologies.
