President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a Congratulation to the participants of the international exhibition and scientific conference titled “Healthcare, Education and Sports in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State”. In his Greeting, the Head of State noted that these international events, held on the occasion of Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Industry Workers’ Day, are of great importance for exchanging experience, introducing innovative technologies and developing international cooperation in relevant fields. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

Honourable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that large-scale reforms are currently being successfully implemented in Turkmenistan in the fields of healthcare, education and sports. The main goal of these reforms is to create modern infrastructure, protect public health, ensure favourable living conditions, raise an educated and knowledgeable generation, promote healthy lifestyles and develop mass sports.

The Congratulation highlights that the construction of modern healthcare facilities, educational centres, stadiums, physical fitness and recreation complexes, as well as sports grounds in all regions of the country serves as clear evidence of the consistent development of these sectors. The Head of State noted that the advancement of healthcare, education and sports systems is based on specific programmes and strategies. In particular, national programmes have been adopted to prevent and combat non-communicable diseases, develop scientific and medical diplomacy, transform the country into a tobacco-free space, and implement the principle of “Healthy Mother — Healthy Child — Healthy Future”.

President of Turkmenistan particularly emphasized that, based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization, effective measures are being taken to protect public health, ensure access to high-quality medical services, and promote medicines and healthcare products to global markets. It was noted that in the period of active introduction of digital technologies, modern equipment and artificial intelligence into the healthcare system, humanitarian principles are gaining special importance.

The Head of State also underlined the great attention being paid to the development of the education system. Today, the number of educational institutions equipped with modern facilities and interactive multimedia technologies is increasing, while the efficiency of the educational process is being enhanced through advanced practices. The construction and commissioning of new educational complexes, kindergartens and secondary schools demonstrates the successful continuation of reforms in this area.

It was also noted that Turkmenistan is constructing sports facilities meeting international standards, developing a mass physical fitness and recreation movement, and creating broad opportunities for athletes. As a member of the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia, Turkmenistan is making a worthy contribution to the development of the Olympic movement.

The Honourable President of Turkmenistan wished the participants of the international exhibition and scientific conference strong health, prosperity and success in their work.
