At the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, systematic work is being carried out to improve the quality of higher professional education, automate educational processes and document management through digital technologies, and increase the efficiency of administrative activities.

As part of this work, the university’s teachers and specialists, under the supervision of Candidate of Technical Sciences M. Churiyev, developed the “Bachelor’s Diploma Supplement Document Preparation” computer software.

The software is designed to automate the preparation of the Supplement document attached to the diploma of graduates completing bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes. The programme automatically reads students’ academic results from an electronic Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet contains students’ grades obtained during their period of study, including examinations, credits, annual projects, practical training and state examinations, recorded on a 100-point scale. Based on these data, the programme generates an individual Supplement document for each graduate according to the established template.

The software operates through two main stages: loading the electronic list of students’ grades and preparing and saving the Supplement documents. After the data are loaded, the programme automatically identifies the appropriate template and generates a Microsoft Word document containing the information of the relevant graduate.

The software was developed using the Delphi programming language and operates as a standard Windows application. It is designed for IBM PC-compatible computers and occupies 13,484,577 bytes of disk space.

At the end of the 2025/2026 academic year, the software was used for the first time at the University to prepare diploma supplements for graduates completing the programmes “Information Systems and Technologies (in the Oil and Gas Industry)” and “Information Security.”

The practical importance of the software lies in automating the preparation of diploma supplements, reducing the workload of relevant employees and improving the efficiency of document management. According to the programme documentation, a task that may require several days when completed manually by one employee can be performed using the software in approximately 1–2 minutes.

The software was granted copyright protection by the State Service for Intellectual Property of Turkmenistan through Copyright Certificate No. 1537, issued on 25 May 2026. The software was created on 1 May 2026.

The implementation of this software in higher education institutions can accelerate the preparation of diploma supplements, reduce the risk of errors in document preparation, save staff time and contribute to the wider application of digital technologies in educational and administrative processes.
