Turkmen Students Participate in International Financial Security Olympiad in Krasnoyarsk

Under the wise leadership of our esteemed President, who is successfully continuing the great work of our Hero Arkadag, Turkmenistan places particular emphasis on modernising its education system to meet contemporary needs, introducing digital technologies, and creating extensive opportunities for young people to exchange knowledge and experience internationally. In the year designated “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” as the country widely celebrates the glorious 35th anniversary of the sacred independence of our beloved homeland, Turkmen students are participating in another prestigious international competition.

The final round of the Sixth International Financial Security Olympiad began on 27 September in Krasnoyarsk, in the Russian Federation. The competition, which will continue until 2 October, is being hosted by Siberian Federal University for the second consecutive year. The final round has brought together approximately 700 school and university students from more than 40 countries.

This year’s Olympiad focuses on the use of artificial intelligence in financial security and the associated risks. More than 100 events are scheduled during the week of the finals, including panel discussions, masterclasses, and meetings with leading experts.

Students from Turkmenistan’s higher education institutions are also participating in the international Olympiad. They are testing their knowledge of financial cybersecurity, financial monitoring, combating money laundering and terrorist financing, international law, and international relations.

In today’s era of advancing digital technologies, protecting financial resources, personal data, and digital services against cyberthreats is essential to every country’s sustainable development. Accordingly, at the initiative of our Hero Arkadagly Serdar, Turkmenistan is pursuing sustained efforts to develop the digital economy, ensure cybersecurity, and train highly qualified specialists in this field. Participation in the Olympiad gives our students valuable opportunities to learn from international experience, strengthen friendships with their peers from different countries, and raise international awareness of neutral Turkmenistan’s peace-loving policy and the country’s achievements.
